By accessing or using RankedBuilders, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Only one active session per account is permitted; signing in on a new device may sign you out elsewhere.
Directory information
RankedBuilders is a directory of construction contractors provided for informational purposes. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or current licensing status of any listed business, and we are not a party to any agreement between you and a contractor you contact through the site. If you list a business, you are solely responsible for the accuracy of your listing, including any claims about licensing, insurance, certifications, or services offered — we do not independently verify these claims.
User content & conduct
Reviews, project photos, business listings, and anything else you submit ("your content") must be accurate, lawful, and something you have the right to post. By submitting content, you grant RankedBuilders a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute it on the site.
We may remove, edit, or refuse to publish any content, and suspend or terminate any account, at our discretion and without notice. This includes fake or paid reviews, harassment, impersonation, spam, scraping, and any attempt to manipulate rankings or bypass our review process.
Business listings & payments
Submitting a business listing requires a paid annual subscription, processed through Stripe. Every submission is reviewed by hand before it goes live. The subscription renews automatically each year until canceled; canceling stops future renewal charges but does not end the current paid period early.
All payments are final. We do not offer refunds for any reason, including if a submission is not approved, if a listing is removed for violating these terms, or if you choose to cancel.
Website Services — scope, ownership & domain
Website Services websites are designed and built by our team using the business details, logo, and photos you provide. You own the content you supply, but you do not own the website design, layout, code, or any other creative work we produce to build it — RankedBuilders retains ownership of that. Our sites are built with SEO best practices in mind, but we do not guarantee any specific search ranking, traffic, or lead volume, and delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees.
Domain ownership depends on who registered the domain. If you already owned the domain before we attached a website to it, you keep ownership of that domain; we own the website design built on top of it. If we registered or hold the domain on your behalf, RankedBuilders owns that domain.
If your Website Services subscription is canceled, your website is taken down. Canceling does not transfer the website design, layout, or code to you, and does not transfer a domain we own to you. If we own the domain, we may reuse, repurpose, or sell it for another business after cancellation, with no obligation to transfer it to you.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account, listing, or Website Services subscription at any time, for any reason, including a violation of these terms, non-payment, or suspected fraud or abuse. Termination does not entitle you to a refund.
No warranty
The site and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. You are responsible for independently verifying any contractor's licensing, insurance, and qualifications before hiring.
Limitation of liability
RankedBuilders is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the site or your engagement with any listed contractor.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold RankedBuilders, its team, and its contractors harmless from any claim, loss, or damage — including reasonable legal fees — arising from your content, your use of the site, your business listing, or your dealings with any homeowner or contractor you connect with through the site.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the site will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Colorado.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. We'll update the date at the top of this page when that happens.
